Hurrah for the Queen!

The Queen visited Oxford today, amongst other things to officially open the restored Castle complex which is just round the corner from our office. In a wonderfully British sort of way we were encouraged to go along and wave. P and I got a bit held up due to, heaven forbid, some work – but therefore managed to leave the building just in time to meet the Queen's motorcade as she cruised past us at the pedestrian crossing outside the office. We got our own private wave (everyone else being up at the castle already) – and managed to run along the canal in time to meet her car again as it came back round the other side. Hurrah for the Queen!
